Kendra Archer
Originally from the island I studied photojournalism at the Spéos Photographic institute in Paris, France (I’m a duel citizen!). After my stint in the big city I moved to Montreal where I worked as a wedding videographer before making my way back west to Vancouver, and eventually landing here in the Kootenays.
I have a scaled back approach to photography - call it my photojournalism roots. I love capturing moments as they naturally unfold, using mostly natural light and keeping the editing minimal.
Since moving to the kootenays I designed and built my home with my partner, all while living in a camper with our puppy and working full time. Since then I’ve also expanded my design skills and can be found helping him over at woodwork build.
When work is put aside you can find me cycling long distances or more casually with my daughter, pup and partner in tow, landscaping in my garden, reading or inevitably coming up with new projects around the house.
